Top Ten Tuesdays: My Spring TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is...

My Spring TBR!

Ahhh, spring is (hopefully) in the air, and that brings a ton of great new releases. Recently, I shared a list of the spring releases I wish I had, and today I will share the spring releases I am lucky to have and dying to read.

Now a Major Motion Picture
Cori McCarthy
Series: n/a
Publisher: Sourcebooks Fire
Release Date: April 3, 2018

What an awesome set-up! The whole resistance to the fandom sounds fun, and it's set in Ireland, which is a setting I always love. The blurb promises a collision of first love and fandom, and that sounds like a great combination to me.

The Summer of Jordi Perez
Amy Spalding
Series: n/a
Publisher: Sky Pony Press
Release Date: April 3, 2018

This is the summer that Jordi ends her run as sidekick and goes after her own dreams. I love stuff like this, and early reviews are using words like funny, feel-good, adorable -- essentially, all adjectives I used to describe my kind of book.

From Twinkle, With Love
Sandhya Menon
Series: n/a
Publisher: Simon Pulse
Release Date: May 22, 2018

One of my favorite books last year, was Menon's When Dimple Met Rishi. Therefore, this was an auto-add to my TBR. Aside from this being by Menon, it's in an epistolary format, and it's a romance, which are two of my favorite things.

Legendary
Stephanie Garber
Series: Caraval, #2
Publisher: Flatiron Books
Release Date: May 20, 2018

I was a HUGE fan of Caraval, and am eager to continue my adventure. I want more of the world, the magic, and the game.

Kissing Games
Tara Eglington
Series: Aurora Skye, #2
Publisher: Wednesday Books
Release Date: June 5, 2018

Eglington's previous book, How to Keep a Boy From Kissing You, was utterly adorable. I was so excited when I found out Aurora was getting a new book, and I am looking forward to more of her shenanigans.

Royals
Rachel Hawkins
Series: n/a
Publisher: Penguin Random House
Release Date: May 1, 2018

I am a BIG fan of Hawkins' Hex Hall and Rebel Belle series, and was happily surprised to see she had a new book coming out. This book is an Pygmalion type story, where a Floridian must be transformed in order to fit into her sister's future as a royal. Sounds like fun to me.

Freshmen
Tom Ellen, Lucy Ivison
Series: n/a
Publisher: Delacorte Press
Release Date: June 12, 2018

This book has been on my radar since I stumbled upon it last year. This writing team is known for writing laugh out loud books, and this one sounds like a YA-goes-to-college book, which I have really been enjoying lately.

Dating Disasters of Emma Nash
Chloe Seager
Series: n/a
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Release Date: May 1, 2018

Another book that is finally getting a US release, and I am excited about that. I am intrigued by all the online tie-ins, and am anticipating many smiles and laughs from this on.

Tiffany Sly Lives Here Now
Dana L. Davis
Series: n/a
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Release Date: May 1, 2018

While grieving the loss of her mother, Tiffany must go live with her biological father, who she has never met. That could have been enough for me, but then there is a second man, who claims he is Tiffany's dad. Sounds like some delicious drama to me.

Tradition
Brendan Kiely
Series: n/a
Publisher: Margaret K. McElderry Books
Release Date: May 1, 2018

I love boarding school books, so the setting was a total pro for me, but I am also intrigued to see how the relationship between the two main characters plays out.

  2. Great list. I`m really looking forward to "From Twinkle, with love". Hopefully, it`s just as heartwarming as "When Dimple Met Rishi".

    1. If you read to the end of the blurb, it's told through letters to Twinkle's favorite female filmmakers.

  4. You have some great reads coming up this spring! The Summer of Jordi Perez and From Twinkle, With Love were both absolutely adorable, feel-good reads (and both with great representation, too!). Tradition sounds so good. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on these, Sam!

    1. I love the Song sisters so much. That book was so bitter sweet for me, and now I am just hoping for one of two things: 1. Another LJ book or 2. A book with an aged-up Kitty, which would serve a dual purpose. It would allow us to have a book dedicated to the ever fabulous Kitty and it would let us catch up with LJ and Peter K. Amirite?

    1. Yep! And I am so excited!!!! When Dimple Met Rishi was a favorite of mine. It was the perfect kind of contemporary romance for me. Early reviewers are saying they loved Legendary more than Caraval, so that means I will go gaga for it.
