Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Need in My Grabby Hands - NOW!

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is...

Books I Need in My Grabby Hands!

This week we are talking about books that we would love to be reading RIGHT NOW, but, like, we don't have them or a time machine so that we could travel forward in time and make them be released. BUT! until then, we have these wishes in our hearts, and will pray to the book gods for approvals, book mail, or Goodreads wins.

Wildcard
Marie Lu
Series: Warcross, #2
Publisher: G.P. Putnam

The publisher has dashed my hopes of getting a DRC of this one form Edelweiss, so I am holding out for a giveaway somewhere, because I NEED to know where this story is going. The ending of Warcross left me with my jaw on the ground, and I must know what happens next.

Two Dark Reigns
Kendare Blake
Series: Three Dark Crowns, #3
Publisher: HarperTeen

I am just feeding my desire for this book, but reading all the novellas. They are helping me construct my theories of what will happen, and it would be fantastic if I could confirm my theories sooner than later.

Someday
David Levithan
Series: Every Day, #3
Publisher: Alfred A. Knopf

I love Levithan and I love this series. I was happy dancing, when I heard there would be more A, Rhiannon, and Nathan. I am really curious to see where Levithan takes us on A's search for understanding the soul and humanity.

Love à la Mode
Stephanie Kate Strohm
Series: n/a
Publisher: Disney-Hyperion

It's no secret how much I love Stephanie Kate Strohm. She always delights me and leaves me overly happy. My trip to Scotland with her was fabulous, and I am eager to visit Paris with her.

The Towering Sky
Katherine McGee
Series: The Thousandth Floor, #3
Publisher: HarperCollins

Final books are a bittersweet thing for me, but McGee gave her characters some interesting arcs in the last book, and I was loving the direction they were going. Now, I just want to know how it all shakes out

Queen of Air and Darkness
Cassandra Clare
Series: The Dark Artifices, #3
Publisher: Margret K. McElderry Books

The ending of Lord of Shadows was devastating! Clare broke my heart, and she owes me answers. I can only hope it served a purpose, and I am ready to tackle her latest tome in order to get that closure.

The Seven Torments of Amy and Craig
Don Zolidis
Series: n/a
Publisher: Disney-Hyperion

This book has SO many elements that are part of every book I have loved. Stories of first love and first loss always hit me in the right way, and this one just keeps calling to me.

That Night
Amy Giles
Series: n/a
Publisher: HarperTeen

Giles debut was an outstanding read for me. It was really emotion, and made me want to read more from her. I saw the words "emotional", "hopeful", and "love" in the synopsis, and knew I had to read this book.

The Resolutions
Mia Garcia
Series: n/a
Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books

All the talk of this group of friends growing apart has my heart aching. I love stories of friendships, and want to bear witness to how all this bond-testing plays out.

Fierce Like a Firestorm
Lana Popović
Series: Hibiscus Daughter, #2
Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books

Obviously a lot of sequels are anticipated, and I had to include this one, as Popović dazzled me with her debut. I want to go back into this world and learn more and more about the magic these women possess.

  5. That ending of Lord of Shadows, seriously! Like how can she leave us like that?? (She always does that crap, lol) Thank god we don't have to wait a super long time in between, though waiting until the end of the year may kill me. And man do I need Wildcard too!

  6. I want Queen of Air and Darkness so I can finally read Lord of Shadows. Everyone said the ending was the worst, so I waited! I haven't heard of any of these other books though. I used to be in such a know about all the YA!! :(

    1. Sometimes it's nice to wait for all the books, but the spoilers! I had LoS spoiled for me by the moderator at BookCon. She didn't reveal the ending, but she revealed something major. That's what I get for being slow to read the sequel.

    1. Unfortunately, Seven Torments is Disney (they hate me! Like I'm on their auto-reject list - lol), but fingers crossed the library gets it.

  10. Waiting on the next in a series or the final book is so much more torturous than waiting for a stand-a-lone by an author you love. Looks like you’ve got a good mix of both.

    1. I am not holding my breath for early copies. I was lucky to get Warcross on EW, but I guess the publisher has no love for me any longer, because I was rejected for Wildcard. *crying in fetal position* I know the library will get both books, so I just have to wait. --sigh--

When it comes to series I just want to know more of what was going to happen :D I really want the Dreamer trilogy which continues on from the Raven Cycle and also the third book in the billionaire romance trilogy by Alexis Hall!!
